5% of Kherson residents have electricity, Russian forces shell energy infrastructure
On Saturday, November 26, consumers began to be connected to electricity in Kherson, and 5% of local residents are already connected.
The head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, Yaroslav Yanushevych, wrote about this on Telegram.
He noted that electricity was available in the city two weeks after the liberation of Kherson. Yanushevych emphasized that the occupying Russian forces almost completely destroyed the city's energy infrastructure.
Also, the head of the Regional Military Administration said that the Russian forces targeted the power lines supplying the city. Yanushevych noted that Ukrainian energy workers restored the damaged power lines in less than half an hour.
He also noted that 150 kV high-voltage lines were supplied to Kherson, and experts are currently working to restore electricity to houses.
