He shared his opinions with Espreso TV.

"At the moment, statements from the United States are quite optimistic about the supply of assistance to Ukraine. Including ATACMS with a range of more than 300 km, which the Americans promise to include in this package of military and technical assistance. This type of missile will significantly enhance the capabilities of the Defense Forces to strike at the rear positions of the occupiers. In particular, airfields and places of concentration of heavy equipment and personnel. Moreover, it is important to emphasize that it is not only the United States that provides military and technical assistance to Ukraine. For 2024, the EU countries are planning to supply weapons to Ukraine in the amount of 24 billion," Sniehyrov said.

According to the expert, the operation to de-occupy Crimea has already begun.

"I would like to speak about the plans of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. There have been numerous statements about a possible counteroffensive by the Ukrainian Armed Forces in 2024. It is worth emphasizing that the Ukrainian Armed Forces are now actively striking at the territory of the temporarily occupied Crimea. According to the NATO classification, such actions of the Defense Forces should be regarded as the first stage of the cascading nature of the planning of the operation to de-occupy the temporarily occupied Crimea," he added.

  • On the morning of Monday, April 15, locals reported explosions in the temporarily occupied Sevastopol. Russia deployed helicopters and Su-25 attack aircraft into the sky and blocked traffic on the Crimean bridge. Local "authorities" announced military exercises.
  • In the temporarily occupied Crimea, on the night of April 17, explosions were heard near the Dzhankoi military airfield. President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy thanked the Ukrainian Armed Forces for their successful work.
  • On April 18, a representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense, Andriy Yusov, said that the operation to destroy the military airfield in Dzhankoi was important and large-scale.
