Zelenskyy's office responds to another Péter Szijjártó’s statement
Hungarian Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó has made another loud statement about the war against Ukraine. Mykhailo Podolyak, an adviser to the head of the Presidential Administration, says it is a call for Ukraine's surrender
Thus, in an interview with N1, Szijjarto responded to the host's remark that the end of the war depends on Russian leader Vladimir Putin by saying that "there are 2 sides to the war."
According to him, both sides should sit down at the negotiating table and discuss their differences.
Szijjártó complained that Hungary's "peaceful" position is not popular in Europe. At the same time, if there is an escalation, it will not take place "thousands of kilometers away," the diplomat warned, but in neighboring regions, and Hungarians may suffer.
Mykhailo Podolyak, an adviser to the head of the Presidential Office, called Szijjarto's statement "a call for Ukraine's surrender" and advised him to study history.
“Being a devil's advocate is beneficial sometimes but more often it leads to a historic fiasco. When Hungary (Szijjártó) says that "the goal is to stop killing people and cease fire", it calls for the surrender of Ukraine and advocates ru-genocide. It’s worth studying history more attentively,” Podolyak wrote.
