Zelenskyy unveils how many Patriots are needed to protect Ukraine

Zelenskyy emphasised that the American Patriot system is the only weapon that can currently shoot down some types of Russian missiles, so Ukraine needs more such systems.

"There is currently one weapon capable of stopping some types of missiles launched by the Russian Federation against our civilian population, schools, infrastructure, and energy system. The only system in the world is the Patriot. The war taught me that people are time, and that's it," the president said.

In addition, he also noted that the presence of Patriot systems in Ukraine simply shuts down Russia's ability to intimidate tens of millions of civilians.

"The reality is 50 Patriots will, for the most part, prevent people from dying," Zelenskyy added.
