Zelenskyy responds to Lukashenko’s claim of Putin’s “good peace offer”
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy says that the self-proclaimed president of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, "lives in his own world", which is sometimes visited by Russian leader Vladimir Putin
Volodymyr Zelenskyy made the comments while speaking at the Warsaw Security Forum.
The moderator asked Zelenskyy to comment on the recent statements by the self-proclaimed Belarusian president about peace negotiations between Russia and Ukraine. Alexander Lukashenko recently claimed that he and Putin had discussed this issue, and the Russian leader is supposedly offering Ukraine good terms.
"It's difficult for me to react in any way to what Lukashenko says. He lives in his own world. He built it and isolated himself. He has been living for three decades in this house that he built. And this house is the size of a whole country. But I want him to remember that his country is independent. He is in his own world, but Putin sometimes visits and they talk there — two old men. It's hard to comment," remarked the president of Ukraine.
On September 26, after a visit to Russian, the self-proclaimed president of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, stated that he supposedly wants to talk to Volodymyr Zelenskyy. Regarding a peace agreement between Ukraine and Russia, he said that Putin has a "good offer."
