Zelenskyy open to meeting Trump, Putin in any format, including Budapest
Ukrainian President Zelenskyy says he is ready to join a meeting between Trump and Putin in any format that could yield results
Zelenskyy said this during a conversation with the media, according to Ukrinform.
According to the president, Ukraine would participate even if the meeting took place in Budapest.
"If I’m invited to Budapest, we will agree. We are ready for a meeting in any format that works," Zelenskyy said.
He emphasized that the main point is results, not the location, and suggested alternative venues such as Switzerland, Austria, the Vatican, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, or Turkey. At the same time, he expressed doubts about Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán’s role in mediation, saying he “cannot do anything positive or at least balanced for Ukrainians.”
Zelenskyy clarified that Ukraine is ready to participate either in a “three-way” format or via shuttle diplomacy, where Trump would first meet with Putin and then with Zelenskyy.
