Zelenskyy on international support and ICC warrant for Putin's arrest
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy stressed that Russia will bear responsibility for every crime against Ukraine and its people
He spoke about this on March 19 in an evening address.
Zelenskyy noted that this past week has brought Ukraine a significant legal result, meaning the International Criminal Court warrant for Putin's arrest.
"This is a turning point. The moment after which it becomes undeniable that the end of this aggression for Russia will be the full range of its responsibility. Responsibility for every strike on Ukraine, for every destroyed life, for every deported Ukrainian child," stressed the President of Ukraine.
He added that the charity platform United24 crossed the $300 million mark in contributions this week by thousands of people from more than a hundred countries around the world, who help buy what is needed for the Ukrainian military, hospitals, and infrastructure.
"The world understands what is happening. The world sees how bravely and nobly our people are fighting," Zelenskyy said.
The President of Ukraine also praised the Ukrainian pyrotechnics and explosives technicians, who inspected more than 100,000 hectares of the country's territory and neutralized more than 400,000 enemy shells. Separately, he thanked a number of pyrotechnicians of the State Emergency Service and police explosives specialists, as well as noted sappers from the National Guard of Ukraine.
"Expelling the occupier, clearing our land of all traces of the evil state, and punishing terrorists are our tasks. Tasks that we will fulfill," Zelenskyy concluded.
