It is known that during his visit, Volodymyr Zelenskyy visited wounded Ukrainian soldiers in a hospital in the Lviv region and presented them with awards.

"Lviv region. A hospital where medical aid is provided to military personnel. And our heroes. Those who prove every day: Russia will not win this war. Thank you for protecting Ukrainian land!", the president's message reads.

Zelenskyy also honored those who died in the Russian-Ukrainian war, who are buried on the Field of Mars of the Lychakiv cemetery.

The President's Office added that after arriving in Lviv, the head of state listened to a report by the local leadership on organizing the evacuation of citizens from war zones.

He also visited the National Academy of Ground Forces named after Hetman Petro Sahaidachny. Volodymyr Zelenskyy noted that the lives of soldiers and the outcome of hostilities largely depend on the quality of training of officers and the level of teachers.

Soldiers' lives and results on the battlefield depend on the quality of officer training - the President during a speech at the National Academy of Ground Forces.

During the years of independence, the National Academy of Ground Forces trained more than 10,000 high-class specialists for the Ukrainian Armed Forces, and during the war, more than 1,500 graduates and teachers of the institution were awarded state awards. 32 officers received the title of Hero of Ukraine, and 9 of them posthumously.

It is worth adding that at the end of the meeting with the staff of the institution, the President presented teachers and cadets with state awards.
