Zelenskyy anticipates new gains of Ukrainian Armed Forces

Volodymyr Zelenskyy said this in his evening video address.

"Heavy fighting in the Donetsk region continues to this day, there have been no mitigation of fighting or respites. Yesterday about a hundred Russian attacks were repelled in the Donetsk region. All our soldiers who hold positions in the Donbas are real heroes. At any part of the front, we do not succumb to the enemy. We respond everywhere and hold positions everywhere. We are preparing for future successes in certain areas," the president of Ukraine said.

Zelenskyy also separately noted the work of Ukrainians in the Donetsk region.

"Today I want to especially mention the border guards of the Kharkiv and Sumy detachments, which are currently operating in the Donetsk region. Their mortar crews are very helpful, not giving rest to the Russian forces. This is what is needed, guys! Thank you! I also thank the soldiers of the 4th operational brigade of the National Guard, which protects Ukraine in the Bakhmut direction. Smart initiative and sustainability are two things that provide beneficial results," the message says.
