Zaluzhnyi shows Sumy region liberation footage one year after its de-occupation
On April 11, the Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Valerii Zaluzhnyi congratulates Ukrainians on the anniversary of the Sumy region’s de-occupation and posts a video of Ukrainian soldiers liberating the region from Russian troops
He published the video on Telegram.
Valerii Zaluzhnyi noted that on April 11 last year, the Armed Forces of Ukraine fully regained control of the Ukrainian state border in the Sumy region.
"On April 11, 2022, control over the state border in the Sumy region was fully restored. The defense forces finally drove the enemy out and de-occupied the region. The towns and villages of the Sumy region stopped the enemy on the way to the capital. The occupiers suffered significant losses in manpower and military equipment," the statement said.
