Worth €10 million: court arrests two AN-148 aircraft of Russian owner
Court seizes two AN-148 aircraft worth €10 million owned by a Russian joint-stock company
This was reported by the Office of the Prosecutor General.
"At the request of the Prosecutor General's Office, the court seized 2 AN-148 aircraft owned by a Russian joint-stock company. According to the decision of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, personal special economic and other sanctions were imposed on the company," the press service writes.
Investigators found that in 2021, the sanctioned company, using an offshore company in Cyprus to circumvent the imposed sanctions, entered into an aircraft lease agreement with a Ukrainian company that used them in its business activities.
After the start of Russia's full-scale invasion, the lease was terminated. The planes, worth about EUR 10 million, were to be taken out of Ukraine.
