"Zelenskyy is danger to world, he wants full-fledged Russia-NATO war": foreign fakes for June 5
Ukraine's Center for Countering Disinformation has published a selection of anti-Ukrainian fakes and manipulations launched by the world media on June 5
This is reported by Espreso.TV.
According to the National Security and Defense Council's Center for Countering Disinformation, on June 5, one fake news and disinformation appeared in the world.
Fake: Australian blogger Semyon Boykov wrote on his X page: “In May 2024, Zelenskyy bought an entire casino in Cyprus through an offshore company for $200 million. In the same May 2024, a record 35,000 Ukrainian soldiers died at the front.”
Rebuttal: This information is yet another lie aimed at discrediting the Ukrainian President and Ukraine in the eyes of the international community.
Disinformation: American economist Jeffrey Sachs said: "In my opinion, Zelenskyy is a danger to the world, because, of course, what does Zelenskyy want? He wants a full-fledged war between NATO and Russia, because if it is a war between Ukraine and Russia, Ukraine will lose. That's why he's trying to drag NATO into a full-scale war.”
Rebuttal: Such statements are aimed at demonizing the Ukrainian government and diverting attention from the fact that the real threat to the world is Russia and its dictator Vladimir Putin. Instead, Ukraine and its allies are trying to stop Russian aggression and prevent it from spreading to the rest of Europe.
