According to the National Security and Defense Council's Center for Countering Disinformation, on April 15, foreign media launched three fakes.

Disinformation: "Zelensky says Iranian missiles landed in Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, and Washington. Calls for start of WW3," Irish journalist Chay Bowes wrote on X.

Disinformation: "In many ways, Ukraine has been turned into a trap for Russia since 2014, when American policy documents openly discussed the issue of bleeding Russia dry by provoking a large-scale conflict. Russia fell into the trap, but it came prepared for it," said American analyst Brian Berletic.

Disinformation: "The implication of his (Zelenskyy's - ed.) comment was that Ukrainian neo-Nazis and fascists who are elsewhere could basically turn against the host countries and cause problems, and I wouldn't be surprised if he was referring to these militias like the Centurions that are in Germany," said Canadian journalist Aaron Maté.

  • On April 14, pro-Russian users of the social network X were spreading a fake that Kharkiv residents were a human shield for the Ukrainian Armed Forces, slowing down the Russian Armed Forces in a large-scale offensive, and Kyiv understood this.
