US attempts to preserve at least some subjectivity of Russia - political scientist
Political analyst Volodymyr Tsybulko believes that amid Russia's growing dependence on China, the United States is trying to preserve at least some kind of subjectivity of the Russian Federation
He expressed this opinion on Espreso TV.
“The United States is well aware of modern Russia. They are trying to find a solution to balance the regime in Russia so that it does not completely dissolve in the Chinese regime. The US is trying to create conditions for the Russian regime to remain at least semi-subjective. Because China sees Russia as a tool of competition against the United States. In the United States, the idea is being cultivated that if Russia is pulled out of China's influence, Russia will sooner or later democratize. This is a mistake. Russia will not be able to democratize,” explained Tsybulko.
The political scientist explained why it will be difficult to democratize the Russian population.
“The Kremlin regime has managed to completely reformat its population in 30 years. This population does not think in democratic terms. The Russian population is still dependent on Soviet paternalism. Russians look at the state as the only regulator and provider. That is why it is simply impossible to democratize this population,” he added.
