Ukraine’s Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal stated this during the Ukraine 2024. Independence forum on August 27.
“In the first half of next year, during Poland's presidency of the EU Council, we aim to open all chapters of negotiations on Ukraine's accession,” he said.
He explained that Ukraine is actively working on every aspect of the EU accession process, including reviewing its legislation to ensure it aligns with European standards.
“We want to be technically ready to join the EU as soon as possible. We have a team, clear negotiation plans, the institutional capacity, and the support of our partners to move quickly,” the prime minister emphasized.
- In June, EU ambassadors agreed on a negotiation framework for Ukraine and Moldova’s accession to the bloc.
