Russian authorities react in strange way: SBU Reserve Colonel Prytula on terrorist attack in Moscow region
Military expert Mykhailo Prytula highlights that despite warnings from numerous intelligence agencies about a potential terrorist attack in Russia, the authorities there disregarded the alerts, failing to implement necessary security measures
He spoke about this on Espreso TV.
"Today, it is only known that the Russian authorities reacted quite strangely to reports of a possible terrorist attack received from intelligence agencies of other countries under the 'duty to inform' regime. Additionally, American intelligence operating in Russian territory received information about a potential terrorist attack and informed the world. We see how Putin reacted, dismissing it all as a hoax. Ultimately, it can be said that Putin bears responsibility for this terrorist act because if he hadn't ignored the warning, nothing like this would have happened, as security measures would have been taken. But everything happened exactly the opposite. There was no security at the entrance to the Crocus Mall, no one checked anyone. Furthermore, the OMON base is located 3 km away from this mall, and they took an hour to arrive," commented the reserve colonel of the Security Service of Ukraine.
According to him, there are still a lot of things that indicate that everything happened completely unnaturally, not as it should have been in such situations. There is still no reaction from the special services and relevant authorities.
"Here arises the question: who organized all this? Someone created this noise, orchestrated a global-scale commotion, while doing something else at the same time. Perhaps, it's preparation for mobilization, escalating the situation in Russia to blame, for example, Ukraine, in order to mobilize society. This is the most likely version, in my opinion. Another version could be a power struggle within the Kremlin, with some factions deciding to slightly undermine Putin. American intelligence could also have received such information and informed everyone in advance. This option is also possible," noted Mykhailo Prytula.
- According to Russian media, at least 90 people were killed and more than 100 wounded in the shooting at a concert in Crocus City Hall.
