Putin's visit to China announced by Kremlin
The Kremlin press service has announced that Russian leader Vladimir Putin will visit China on May 16-17 at the invitation of President Xi Jinping

This was reported by the Russian propaganda outlet RIA Novosti.
The report states that the parties will extensively discuss partnership and strategic interaction, along with outlining key directions for further cooperation between the countries.
The press service added, "A joint statement by the heads of state and several bilateral documents are planned to be signed following the negotiations."
Putin also plans to meet with Li Qiang, the Premier of the State Council of China, to discuss bilateral cooperation in trade, economics, and humanitarian spheres.
Additionally, Putin will attend the opening ceremony of the eighth Russian-Chinese EXPO and the fourth Russian-Chinese Forum on Interregional Cooperation in Harbin.
- French President Emmanuel Macron, following one-on-one discussions with Chinese President Xi Jinping, expressed support for China's commitment to refrain from selling weapons to the Russian Federation.
