Majority of Georgians consider Russia to be main enemy - poll
According to a poll conducted in Georgia from April 16 to May 13, 2024, Georgians named Russia as the country's main enemy, while the US was named the main friend

Novosti Georgia reports, citing the results of the Caucasus Barometer 2024 survey.
According to the poll, 69% of respondents identified Russia as Georgia's main enemy. This is 3% more than in 2021, when the figure was 66%. In 2019, the rating was 49%, in 2017 - 40%, and in 2012 - 35%.
In addition, over the past 12 years, only 4% of respondents believe that Georgia has no enemies.
When asked about friendly countries, respondents named:
- USA - 24%;
- Azerbaijan - 8%;
- Ukraine - 7%;
- Turkey - 4%;
- Germany - 4%;
- Armenia - 2%;
- Russia - 2%;
- France - 2%;
- Israel - 1%;
- China - 1%;
- Other - 3%.
Also, more than a quarter of respondents (26%) believe that Georgia has no friends.
