During his visit, he plans to hold a series of meetings with Ukrainian colleagues.
Representatives of Japan and Ukraine are to discuss joint projects and opportunities for further cooperation in the cultural and educational spheres.
In particular, the Japanese minister visited the memorial to the victims of the Russian occupation in Bucha.
In addition, during his visit to Ukraine, Moriyama came to Irpin. There, he visited the Irpin Bridge, which Ukraine was forced to blow up for defensive purposes during the Russian offensive in 2022.
"Japan will continue to support Ukraine in restoring peace," the Japanese embassy said.
