Canada's Trudeau announces new military aid to Ukraine worth over $360 million
Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announces a new $500 million CAD military support package during a meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy

The Prime Minister of Canada and the President of Ukraine condemned the recent massive missile attack by Russia, in particular on the Okhmatdyt children's hospital. Trudeau emphasized that his country is ready to provide the necessary medical support to the survivors of the attack.
In addition, the Prime Minister of Canada announced a new, additional package of military support for Ukraine in the amount of 500 million (USD 367 million) Canadian dollars.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy thanked Canada and explained how important it was for Ukraine: "It is very important for our people to hear this. Thank you for your help, for the additional defense package. It will strengthen our heroes on the battlefield."
At the same time, the leaders discussed Ukraine's defense needs and coordinated cooperation within the fighter jet coalition. Volodymyr Zelenskyy spoke about the need to expand training missions for Ukrainian pilots.
"The parties exchanged views on the possibility of additional training for Ukrainian pilots on Canadian flight simulators and holding one of the thematic meetings in Canada following the first Peace Summit," the press service of the President's Office said.
