“This decision to freeze our participation in the CSTO is sufficient for now,” Pashinyan said, as reported by News.am.
He noted that there might be discussions about what would need to happen for Armenia to fully withdraw from the CSTO.
“Opinions may vary on whether this is enough or not. While we respect all views, we have made our decision. For now, we see no need to take further action, but this doesn't rule out the possibility of making a different decision in the future,” the prime minister emphasized.
- On February 23, Pashinyan announced that Armenia had frozen its participation in the CSTO, which he described as "dominated by Moscow."
- In June, he suggested that Armenia might withdraw from the CSTO, and the country's Foreign Ministry later clarified his remarks.
