On Wednesday, April 30, South Korean lawmakers, citing intelligence services, said that about 600 North Korean troops have died in Ukraine. According to their data, roughly 15,000 soldiers were sent to the front.
Officials also said that DPRK military "has become less inept, and its combat capability has significantly improved."
- A day earlier, North Korea officially confirmed that units of its armed forces had taken part in the "operation to liberate the Kursk region" under orders from the country’s leader. Later, Russian leader Vladimir Putin thanked his North Korean counterpart for the support.
