World must prevent terrorist attacks like Olenivka - Azov patronage service
The international community must do everything to ensure that the Red Cross reaches the prison in Olenivka, where Ukrainian prisoners of war were blown up
The head of the patronage service of the Azov Regiment, Olena Tolkachova, said this on Espreso TV.
"This is not the first time we have addressed them (the Red Cross, - Ed.) during this time. In fact, we do not sleep - we respond to the relatives of the victims. We are ashamed to look them in the eye, because we cannot say anything concrete. We hope only to the Red Cross. The Red Cross wrote several abstract statements that they demand to be allowed into the territory of the colony where the explosion happened", she said.
Tolkachova stressed that the Red Cross does not provide any other information.
"They don't confirm the death, they don't confirm that someone was taken to the hospital, although we saw videos from the facilities where the prisoners of war who survived this explosion are. They don't confirm how many people are left alive in the colony. They really don't have access and they cannot deliver on their promises. The international community must again be actively involved in order for the Red Cross to get there, so that the exchange of all prisoners of war takes place as soon as possible", she added.
Tolkachova called the explosion in Olenivka a public execution.
"We must prevent further such actions by the Russian Federation and take away all the prisoners of war, because we have no other way to save their lives. I have no idea how the international community will do this. The Russian Federation is completely out of control in this case. We must take more active actions to strengthen sanctions. Perhaps we should rely only on ourselves, on our army", she concluded.
