Oleksandr Musienko, Director of the Center for Military Legal Studies, told this on the Espreso TV channel.
"The issue of funds takes over a year to resolve. Contradictions arise because there is national legislation in states. They believe that confiscating funds in this way and transferring them to Ukraine would violate the rules. This would serve as a deterrent for other potential investors and countries. They are afraid of this decision. A lot of legislation needs to be changed, and changing legislation takes time," he noted.
"It's the legal regime of Western countries; they won't deviate from their rules. No one will act in a state of emergency mode right now," Musienko noted.
"This is a violation of procedures and can disrupt the system, and they need to think about their own economy and national interests. Therefore, they will act according to the appropriate procedure. Until the regulations and legislation change, we shouldn't expect any other decisions," he added.
