We must put Ukraine in strong condition of negotiating — Ursula von der Leyen
In New York, President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen said that Ukraine needs to be put in “strong conditions” before peace talks
This was reported by the press service of the European Commission.
“Peace is a settlement that makes war impossible and unnecessary. We must put Ukraine in the strong condition of negotiating such peace. And this is why the integration of Ukraine in the European Union is for us at the heart of our peace efforts,” Ursula von der Leyen said.
In addition, the leader recalled the announcement by the G7 in Puglia of a $50 billion loan to Ukraine, as well as an EU loan of up to €35 billion.
“But most importantly: Ukraine is actively reaching out to the world, with its Peace Formula. And this is what the brave people of Ukraine deserve: a just and lasting peace,” the President emphasized.
