On Thursday, September 11, the U.S. President’s Special Representative for Ukraine and Russia, Keith Kellogg, arrived in Kyiv for a visit

Currently, Kellogg is in Kyiv, but the purpose of his visit is unknown.

Notably, Trump’s special envoy for Ukraine, was enroute to Poland when the Russian drone incursion occurred, according to a source familiar with his travel, CNN reported.

This is Kellogg’s third visit to Kyiv in 2025.

Previously he visited the capital of Ukraine on August 24, 2025, for Ukraine’s Independence Day, when President Zelenskyy awarded him the Order of Merit, First Class.

The retired general, a key aide to Trump in pursuing a Russia-Ukraine peace deal, has maintained close contact with senior Ukrainian officials.

U.S. Special Representative Keith Kellogg was en route to Poland during the Russian drone incursion into the country’s airspace on September 10. According to a CNN source, he plans to continue his trip and visit Ukraine in the coming days.
