Ukrainian beaten to death in Bratislava, MFA raises concerns over possible hate crime
On January 30, a severely beaten Ukrainian man with head and body injuries was found in Bratislava—he later died in the hospital. Ukraine’s Foreign Ministry does not rule out ethnic hatred as a possible motive

According to the report, police are investigating the death of the Ukrainian man, who was found on January 30 near the Gold Barber Shop - Twin City in Bratislava with severe head and body injuries. The channel states that the victim passed away the following day in the hospital.
As reported by Aktuality, the man may have been homeless. The police are currently considering several versions of the incident. It is suspected that special forces officers may be involved in his death.
Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha expressed his shock over the tragic death of the Ukrainian citizen, stating: “We cannot rule out ethnic hatred as one of the reasons for this crime.”
“Following my instructions, our embassy has already established contact with the Slovak police and the ombudsman. We demand an impartial investigation and that those responsible be held accountable,” the minister declared.
