'Ukraine’s only solution is to rally global attention': expert on U.S. aid freeze
Ukraine must refocus global attention on Russian aggression to secure continued Western military aid. Critically, this includes obtaining air defense missiles, like Patriot systems, from European partners
Hennadiy Khazan, president of the Ukrainian Aviation Association of Pilots and Aircraft Owners AOPA Ukraine, said this on Espreso TV.
“Right now, there’s only one way forward — to once again raise an outcry across the entire planet, to keep showing, as today’s attack has proven, what Russia really is. And we must keep doing our part.
What can replace a Patriot missile except another Patriot? Only a Patriot. Where can we get it? We can get it from our European partners, who have a certain stockpile,” Khazan said.
The president of AOPA Ukraine added that Ukrainian politicians must work hard to give our partners, at the very least, a moral basis to transfer part of their missile stock to us — especially at a time when we are loudly appealing to the world and urging our overseas partners in the U.S. to provide us with weapons.
- Vice President of the Ukrainian World Congress (UWC) in North America Marta Farion stated that U.S. President Donald Trump’s administration not only reduced but completely halted military aid to Ukraine, which could have catastrophic consequences.
