Turkish FM warns of “new situation” in Russia-Ukraine war in 2025
Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan has said that next year could bring a "new situation" on the frontlines in Ukraine due to both sides becoming exhausted from the war

As reported by Hurriyet, he stated that fatigue might lead to a "new situation" in 2025, adding that neither Ukraine nor Russia wants to be defeated. Fidan noted that Türkiye is trying to find common ground between the two countries, as it has good relations with both.
He also noted that Türkiye aims to help find a solution to end the war within the framework of Ukraine's territorial integrity.
"A fair solution to the war must be found within the framework of Ukraine's territorial integrity," Fidan concluded.
- Chief Advisor to the President of Türkiye Yalçın Topçu said that the country supports the territorial integrity, sovereignty, and independence of Ukraine, and also supports the return of the temporarily occupied territories.
