Trump to discuss ending Russia’s war on Ukraine with China’s Xi Jinping

The American president said this while speaking to reporters aboard Air Force One.

“One of the topics we’ll discuss is Russia and Ukraine,” Trump noted.

According to him, the Chinese leader also wants “this to end.”

Trump reminded that the United States has imposed “major sanctions against Russia” and added that he would like Beijing to help Washington in resolving the war against Ukraine.

“We have a lot to talk about with President Xi — and he has things to discuss with us. I think it’s going to be a good meeting,” Trump concluded.

• The U.S. president is scheduled to hold a bilateral meeting with Chinese leader Xi Jinping on October 30 in South Korea.
