Trump will blame Ukraine again as soon as Putin talks peace
Yesterday, Ukraine received two very promising signals from the U.S. First, there was a proposal to consider a $50 million arms sale, followed by a State Department announcement approving the sale of F-16 equipment worth $310 million
These statements are once again fueling euphoria that Trump will finally show his true colors and hit Putin hard!
So let me remind you. First, free American weapons are no longer available. That ended with Biden. Now it’s all for money — and a lot of money. Which we simply don’t have.
Second, and most importantly: when do you think Trump will once again cut off Ukraine’s ability to buy expensive American weapons and halt intelligence sharing?
"Exactly! As soon as Putin talks about peace again. Because Ukraine is not a priority for this administration. So, the moment Putin is ready to lock in his gains in Ukraine and shows willingness to cease fire, Trump will hit us with everything he can to make us accept Putin’s terms."
That’s why the euphoria over being allowed to buy American weapons is very premature. Sure, it’s good that right now, at this particular moment, Trump has made such a decision. But it means nothing in the long term — not even in a few weeks, let alone anything beyond that.
The Trump administration remains an unreliable, deceitful, self-absorbed, and treacherous partner — one we cannot reject, but certainly one we must not rely on.
In this situation, the only thing keeping us firmly on our feet is the mobilization of Ukrainian society to replenish the Ukrainian army. The front line is now, quite literally, at the front. As strange as it may sound, it’s true. Economic, comedic, informational, and other "fronts" together are not worth one citizen who, upon receiving a draft notice, chooses a unit and goes to fight.
The Russian army cannot advance under the fire of Ukrainian drones. Their offensive near Pokrovsk has stalled. If the Ukrainian army receives reinforcements, it is unstoppable. Honor to all who serve!
