Spartz lashes out at The Telegraph after controversial interview, calls Zelenskyy a "moron"
Controversial U.S. Congresswoman Victoria Spartz slammed The Telegraph, the outlet she gave an interview to, after it published her remarks suggesting Ukrainians need to accept the loss of territory — while also insulting Ukraine and President Volodymyr Zelenskyy
This was stated in a press release on Spartz’s official website.
The congresswoman claimed that the headline of the interview on The Telegraph website “intentionally misrepresents” her position on Ukraine.
“This headline was 'conveniently' used by the Zelensky propaganda machine to smear her and President Trump and continue blaming the United States for Zelensky’s loss and betrayal of his country,” the statement said.
The release also claimed the article originally used “quotes to misquote something Congresswoman Spartz never said.”
After several contacts with Spartz’s team, the outlet “deleted the quotes but still kept a colon to make an appearance of this false statement.”
“I spent an enormous amount of energy trying to help the Ukrainian military to win their brutal fight against Russia. Unfortunately, if you have morons and crooks like Zelensky and his puppet parliament running your country, it’s a lost cause,” Spartz said.
She stated that “the current reality on the ground is that Ukraine is not in the position to retake its territories, nor could they agree to give them up permanently.”
“Therefore, only a temporary solution with the help of the United States can be achieved, which will give each side some time to regroup. The end result of that war will have to be decided later and not just on a battlefield,” the congresswoman added.
- Earlier, Congresswoman Victoria Spartz, who was born and raised in Ukraine's Chernihiv region, stated that Ukrainians must come to terms with the loss of territory to Russia.
