US envoy Kellogg blasts Russia's 'egregious' attacks on Kyiv

Kellogg noted that Russia carried out the second-largest air attack since the start of the full-scale war, using 600 drones and 31 missiles.

"The targets? Not soldiers and weapons but residential areas in Kyiv—blasting civilian trains, the EU & British mission council offices, and innocent civilians. These egregious attacks threaten the peace that the U.S. president is pursuing," he emphasized.

• On the evening of 27 August, the Russian army launched strike UAVs against Ukrainian territory; later missile launches were reported. In Kyiv, there were casualties as a result of the attack. Eighteen people were killed, including four children.
• As a result of the Russian attack in Kyiv the buildings of the European Union Delegation and the British Council were damaged.
• Ukraine's Foreign Affairs Ministry has condemned Russia's August 28 massive strike on Ukraine.
