Overview of first day of International Forum of Crimea Platform Expert Network
Espreso correspondent Dmytro Didora, reporting from the 3rd International Forum of the Crimea Platform Expert Network, highlighted that today, June 24, discussions focused on justice, sanctions against Russia, and economic matters

"Today, June 24, marks the first day of the 3rd International Forum of the Crimea Platform Expert Network. The second panel has already begun to discuss the next possible sanctions against Russia. The forum opened with remarks from Tamila Tasheva, the Permanent Representative of the President of Ukraine in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, who noted that two summits of the Crimean Platform are currently being prepared, a governmental and a parliamentary one," the Espreso correspondent noted.
Dmytro Didora reported that the first panel of the forum focused on the concept of justice for Crimea, reflecting on the lessons learned from the two years of full-scale Russian invasion and how to avoid repeating the mistakes of 2014.
"Head of the Prosecutor's Office of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol Ihor Ponochovny noted that currently, 3,000 criminal cases related to collaboration and war crimes of the Russian military in temporarily occupied Crimea are under investigation.
He said that preparations are underway to work in the territory of de-occupied Crimea, emphasizing the need to form a team of lawyers, law enforcement officers, and judicial experts.
The forum will also cover discussions on the economy and warfare. Didora mentioned that the agenda for the second day of the forum promises many more compelling topics.

The President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, believes that the frozen Russian assets will be directed to the reconstruction and protection of Ukraine.
