Over 44% of Ukrainians trust Donald Trump
As of late November 2024, 44.6% of Ukrainians expressed trust in the newly elected U.S. President Donald Trump
The results of a nationwide survey commissioned by the New Europe Center show this, Babel reports.
Trust in Trump in Ukraine surpasses his approval ratings in France (16%), the United Kingdom (30%), and Hungary (37%). Researchers suggested that this result is driven by Ukrainians’ hope for an end to the war with Russia and a more decisive policy from a new administration.
"Last year, we asked Ukrainians: 'Who do you favor more — Donald Trump or Joseph Biden?' The incumbent president was the clear favorite, with a 78.1% approval rating. Only 10.1% of respondents preferred the leader of the Republican Party," the analysts added.
The study was conducted from November 15 to 27, 2024. The sample included 1,000 respondents aged 16 and older, surveyed via phone calls. The theoretical margin of error does not exceed 3.1% with a 95% confidence level. The survey did not include the temporarily occupied Ukrainian territories.
