The propaganda state agency RIA-Novosti reported the information.

Specifically, Putin described Hungary's position on Ukraine as "balanced." According to the dictator, he and Orbán can "frankly discuss all issues and search for solutions."

The head of the Kremlin also suggested that Russian-American negotiations could lead to a summit in Budapest, which had been previously planned between him and U.S. President Donald Trump.

"Hungary is ready to provide a platform for negotiations on Ukraine," Orbán stated in response.

  • Previously, Orbán said that the publication of an American 28-point plan for resolving the war in Ukraine is initiating processes that could lead to a "peace summit" in Budapest.
