Melania Trump statue disappears in Slovenia: police launch investigation
In Slovenia, a statue of U.S. First Lady Melania Trump, located near her hometown of Sevnica, has been stolen: law enforcement has launched an investigation
Noovo Info reported the information.
The statue in question is a life-size bronze statue of Melania Trump, installed on a tree trunk in the middle of a private field near her hometown of Sevnica.
Law enforcement officials reported that information about the incident was received on May 13. Police officers immediately went to the scene, and an investigation was launched.
The creator of the statue, American conceptual artist Brad Downey, said he was upset by the disappearance of the work, which was firmly attached with concrete and iron bars, forcing the thieves to cut it off above the ankles.
"I have a feeling that this is somehow connected with the billionaire's return to power, but who knows," he said.
It should be noted that the previous statue of Melania Trump was made of wood. It was burned to the ground in July 2020.
- Earlier it became known that Melania will be the heroine of a new documentary film by director Brett Ratner, which will be released on Amazon Prime Video. Filming of the film is already underway.
