The Hungarian diplomat wrote about this on Facebook.

On the evening of Tuesday, August 19, Szijjártó announced that the transit of Russian oil through the Druzhba pipeline to Hungary has been restored.

He thanked Russia’s Deputy Energy Minister Pavel Sorokin for the “quick repair of the damage caused by the attack.”

“We expect Ukraine not to carry out further attacks on this pipeline, which is critical for our country’s energy supply. This war is not our war — do not drag us into it!” Szijjártó said.

  • On the night of August 18, Ukrainian forces struck the Nikolskoye oil pumping station in the Tambov region of the Russian Federation.
  • Later, Hungarian Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó accused Ukraine of attacking an oil pipeline, claiming the incident led to a suspension of oil supplies to Hungary.
