EU greenlights procedure to permanently freeze Russian assets
On December 12, EU ambassadors officially approved the procedure to prematurely freeze Russian assets

"The written procedure has been completed. Two countries voted against, the remaining 25 - for," the source said.
Earlier, Hungary and Slovakia publicly opposed a reparations loan for Kyiv.
- Russia's Central Bank claims Euroclear harmed it by freezing access to funds and securities. Meanwhile, Europeans aim to use these frozen assets for a 'reparation loan' to Ukraine.
