'Details of his responsibility remain unclear': Ukrainian diplomat on Trump’s G7 departure
All the details related to the responsibility of U.S. President Donald Trump regarding the war between Israel and Iran are not known
Yevhen Choliy, Honorary Consul of Ukraine in Montreal (Canada), stated this on Espreso TV.
"I think that most people were surprised that President Trump left, and were even more surprised by his statement on the first day of the summit, when he said it was a pity that there is no G8," he noted.
Choliy added that this refers to Russia no longer being part of this forum.
"I think most people believed that when Donald Trump said he had to leave because of the war between Israel and Iran, it was hard to criticize such a decision. Because we do not know all the details related to his responsibility regarding this pressing global issue," the honorary consul concluded.
On June 17, Trump left the G7 summit early and did not meet with President Zelenskyy.
