White House comments on resolution to expel Russia from UN Security Council
The United States doesn’t change the UN rules to exclude Russia from the permanent members of the Security Council

This was stated by White House spokeswoman Karine Jean-Pierre.
She claimed the US administration would not change the rules of the international organization. So, the administration is focused on isolating Russia from international organizations and bringing it to justice through sanctions.
"If there were a path to suspend Russia from the UN Security Council, we would pursue it immediately," Jean-Pierre stressed.
- On December 1, the Verkhovna Rada approved an appeal to the UN to exclude Russia from the organization. The resolution refers to the Russian regime's recognition as a terrorist, the illegitimacy of Russian membership in the UN and the organization's reform.

US lawmakers, who head an independent governmental human rights organization, introduced a resolution calling on President Joe Biden to remove Russia from the UN Security Council.
