Western political elites lack consensus on what Ukraine's victory should be, so they delay the supply of weapons

Andriy Illienko, an officer of the Svoboda battalion, said this on Espreso.
"Among Western political elites, there is a rough consensus that they do not want Russia to win, but there is no consensus on what Ukraine's victory should look like. We have understanding, but they do not have consensus-level understanding. This is a key reason for the questions regarding the supply of weapons," he emphasized.
According to Andriy Illienko, this is a matter of political goals among the leadership of Western countries and understanding the ultimate purpose of the war. Ukraine's task is to convey that only full de-occupation of the country and the collapse of Russia will mean stable peace in Europe and beyond.
