We have halted Russian attacks on Severodonetsk - Reserve Council chairman
Ivan Tymochko, Ground Forces Reserve Council chairman, has said that cities near Severodonetsk, where Russia could launch an offensive or bypass the city, are now under the Ukrainian forces' protection.
He made the statement on Espreso.
"I want to emphasize that the Defense Ministry has already fulfilled the initial request from the Armed Forces for 90% caliber artillery. This initial need will be 100% fulfilled within 1-2 weeks. But the circumstances on the battlefield are changing and the need is growing. The General Staff responds to changes in the operational situation and the Defense Ministry changes the tasks according to the General Staff's requests. We already have a clear plan for the supply of artillery by the end of July," Reznikov said.
The demand for weapons is formed by the Ukrainian Armed Forces' General Staff, the requirements vary depending on the needs and activity of hostilities.
"The received weapons and equipment are centrally transferred by the Defense Ministry to the Armed Forces. Distribution is carried out by the Armed Forces Command, as it sees the general picture, forms the plan of operations and determines priorities," the minister added.
