Ibrahim Kalin, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan's spokesman, says that Ankara will not recognize the results of Kremlin-staged referendums on the accession of Kherson, Zaporizhzhia, Donetsk and Luhansk regions to Russia.

According to him, Turkey supports the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine.

"We do not recognize the initiatives of unilateral "referendums" held in Ukraine. Our position has not changed since 2014, when we did not recognize the results of the "referendum" in Crimea. We recognize the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine. We are on the side of Ukraine in this war. Turkey is the only country that is making efforts to end the war," Kalin said.
