Washington, Berlin and Warsaw plan to conduct joint military exercises in Poland
The USA, Germany and Poland are negotiating on holding joint military exercises in Poland
This was stated by German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius, Deutsche Welle reports.
He stated that military maneuvers in the country bordering Ukraine would be a "very clear" signal to NATO allies, as well as to Russian President Vladimir Putin. But he did not provide details, noting only that the possibility of joint exercises is currently being considered.
"The North Atlantic Alliance today is much stronger and more united than before February 24 last year. For the countries of Eastern Europe, such as Poland, the Baltic States, Slovakia and others, it is important to see that Germany, as the important European member of the alliance, and the United States, as a transatlantic partner, fulfill its defense obligations," Pistorius said.
