Warsaw to host Brukivka International Film Festival to celebrate Ukrainian Cinema Day
To mark Ukrainian Cinema Day in September, the 6th Brukivka International Film Festival will take place in the Polish capital. It will showcase world and Ukrainian short films
This is stated on the website of the Ukrainian State Film Agency.
It is noted that the screenings of the international and Ukrainian short film competition programmes of the sixth Kamianets-Podilskyi Brukivka International Film Festival will take place on the 8th and 15th of September.
The event is scheduled to start at 18:00. Entrance for visitors will be free.
The Ukrainian State Film Agency added that this year's Brukivka Film Festival will be held simultaneously in Warsaw, Warendorf, Germany, and the Ukrainian cities of Kamianets-Podilskyi, Brovary, and Odesa.
The jury includes:

Yulia Sinkevich, former general producer of the Odesa International Film Festival;

Head of the Board of the Ukrainian Film Academy, producer Olha Beskhmelnytsina;

Anara Musrepova, producer and president of the Cannes 7th Art Awards International Film Festival;

Ukrainian film actor and director Serhiy Zlenko;

film critic Oleksandr Gusev;

Anton Frolov, director of the Bardak Independent Ukrainian Film Festival;

director and producer Kyrylo Zharovsky.
Based on the jury's assessment, the participants will receive diplomas and a symbolic Grand Prix of UAH 15,000 from the festival organising committee.

In 2022, the Kamianets-Podilskyi Brukivka Film Festival became the first Ukrainian film festival to start operating during the full-scale war and hold charity marathons of contemporary Ukrainian cinema to raise funds to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

In addition, Brukivka will hold its sixth film festival featuring Ukrainian short films in Germany.
