War shouldn't end with Russia's victory, therefore Europe will continue backing Kyiv - Borrell

The head of European diplomacy, Josep Borrell, said this at the annual conference Investments in European Defense - 2022.

“I know there is public opinion in Europe that the longer we help Ukraine, the longer the war will last. 'If you want to end the war, stop supporting Ukraine and the war will end.' Of course! But how will it end? This is an important question,” he said.

According to Borrell, the war cannot end with Russia's victory and the occupation of Ukraine, so the least that Europe can do is to “provide military aid and training support.”

Borrell added that Ukraine is fighting for its survival, but also defends common European values ​​and security. Therefore, the EU will continue to provide assistance to Kyiv.
