War may last at least 2 to 3 years, given Russia's resources - military expert Zgurets
Defense Express expert Serhiy Zgurets believes that having large stocks of military equipment, Russia may try to prolong the war for 2 to 3 years.
He shared his opinions with Espreso TV.
"Ukraine's potential to continue offensive actions depends on the regularity and reliability of military assistance from our partners. Because this assistance affects the accumulation of Ukrainian reserves. Now both Ukraine and Russia are accumulating forces for further hostilities," explained Zgurets.
The military expert stressed that the success of Ukraine’s offensive depends on the military assistance of the allies.
"I do not exclude that the fighting may last at least 2 to 3 years. After all, Russia still has considerable resources in military equipment. Therefore, Russia can drag out the hostilities at a lower rate of efficiency. However, this scenario is not the only one. In my opinion, the next year will be quite important for this war. And for us, the success of offensive actions in 2023 will depend on the help of allies," he added.
- In the morning report on December 28, the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reported that Ukrainian soldiers continue to destroy Russian occupation forces.
