"War machine needs cannon fodder": Omelyan on Russian calls for early childbearing over education
Volodymyr Omelyan, politician, diplomat, Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine (2016-2019), and serviceman of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, says that Russia needs even more people to die
He shared his opinions with Espreso TV.
"In Russia, women were encouraged to prioritize giving birth as early as possible over education and careers, reflecting a clear state ideology. This shift aligns with the increasing need for a larger population to be involved in the war, given the rising casualties. While the number of Russians killed was once in the tens of thousands, it has now escalated to the hundreds of thousands and could potentially reach millions. Previously, they would say that it was enough to hire professional military, for whom war is a job, to recruit convicts, and this would cover the losses," Omelyan said.
According to the politician, it is obvious that Russia has much more serious problems now, and the Russian war machine needs more and more “cannon fodder.”
"Therefore, the ideas will be introduced into Russian society. And I advise Russians to look deep into the depths of the ages, not only in Christian times, but also in pre-Christian times. When it was popular in Muscovy to wear bast shoes, eat raw meat, live in the mud, and all this will contribute to the health of the Russian nation," Omelyan added.

Margarita Pavlova, a member of the Federation Council from the Chelyabinsk region, said that Russian society has a "skewed value system" because of women's higher education.
