War in Ukraine can be ended only through diplomatic means - Turkish Minister 

Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkey, stated this, Daily Sabah reports.

"One way or another, this war will end at the table. We don't think it will end with military gains on the ground. There is a risk that war could last for decades," he said.

Çavuşoğlu noted that, compared to March, when the last negotiating meeting of Ukraine and Russia delegations was held in Istanbul with mediation of Turkey, "new realities in new conditions" had emerged. He added that situation has become more difficult, but "we must not lose hope." 

According to him, in the spring, parties allegedly "were very close to a ceasefire. However, magical hands intervened and we witnessed how parties left the table."
